For the Dutch Ministry of Health, ICTU developed a web application for the Continuous Screening Project. With this web application, childcare professionals can register themselves in order to be continuously screened while they work with children. The register aims to enhance the safety of the kids. It is part of a bigger program in which everyone who is working with small children has to possess a declaration of good behaviour and needs to be registered.
As an User Experience designer in the SCRUM-team that executes this program, I was responsible for the interaction, interface and graphics design of the site. I also executed several extensive usability tests in the field, for which I developed test scenario’s, interviews and prototypes (Axure). I also recruited the participants and created the complete test planning and moderator script. I travelled throughout the Netherlands to visit day care centers and headquarters to put the application to the test.
This video shows the Axure prototype and an impression of the actual usability tests.
